My official predictions for this years Idol
OK..I have this years contest in the discussion section of the American Idol group. All you have to do is predict the top 5 now and each week pick who is getting voted off. I will have my picks there but I will put them in this blog too. If you want to play you can put your picks in either comment box..I would prefer you put it in Idol group though.
This is the order of how I would LIKE it to finish..Danny..Lil...Scott..Kris..Matt..Michael..Jasmine...Megan...Alexis...Allison..Anoop..Jorge..Adam.
the first 6 are Christians..but there is no way that order will happen. here is my OFFICIAL prediction in reverse order of how it will happen as the show unfolds.
13. Michael Sarver. Super nice guy but there are a ton of guys like him in the competition. He probably will be safe because he's consistant and someone is due to bomb the first week..but I have to start somewhere..and he's the longest shot here.
12. Jorge Nunez. I think his act might get stale fast.
11 Jasmine Murray. This girl can go here or go all the way to win ala Jordin Sparks. I think that Lil will overshadow her so much that she will be forgoten..but they thought the same thing of Jordin with Melinda and Latisha 2 years ago. She has great marketabilty if she sings well.
(this is getting tough already!)
10. Kris Allen. He might surprise with his great looks if he kicks up the vocals. Reminds me of Chris Richardson.
9. Allison Iraheta. She was awesome doing "Alone" but does she have much else up her sleeve? She looks like the type that nerves might get to after awhile.
8. Megan Joy. She dropped her last name of Corkrey because it was her ex-husbands name. I think she dropped it because she moves like a corkscrew on stage. Her weak voice will be the end of her charming run.
7. Scott McIntyre. he is the toughest to predict. He actually has a really thin voice but if starts to get a groove with his piano he might make a mini-run. People will want to vote for him to save him if he ever has a bad week too.
6. Matt Giraud. Will he be soulful Matt or coldplay Matt? He might be capable of a Elliot Yamin type 3rd place year if he plays his cards right. Also possible to get voted off quickly if he keeps his smug look..David Cook got rid of his smug look last year so he can do it as well.
5. Alexis Grace. Another one that might get voted off first week if her top 36 performanxce was a fluke..or she might go all the way if it wasn't. Her, Megan and Allison are interchangable in my book right now.
4. Adam Lambert. The most talented singer..but can he reign in the theatrics and make a connection with the audience?
3. Anoop Desai. I have a feeling America really loves this guy. I think his chances depend on wise song choices as I think he is a bit overated as a singer.
2. Lil Rounds. If Vonzell and Syesha came in third..she has to do better than that! She has everything it takes to win. I'd take her over Fantasia any day.
winner..Danny Gokey. The early pick of many but will he get backlash that is not his fault for producers pushing his wife dying card? Lil had her house destroyed in a hurricane but they haven't brought that up since her audition. Reminds me of the early buzz for David Archuleta last year. It's hard to be the favorite for the whole year though.
