So….yesterday was quite an eventful day for me. It started off with me heading to Ardent to do some demos, which is always intimidating and, almost nerve-wracking, in a way. I mean, you are debuting brand spanking new songs. New emotions…new thoughts…new ideas. You’re basically saying, “Here’s my secrets for the past 6 months. Hope you like them”. Well today we are still in South Dakota. This is Emily’s hometown. We played last night for her church gathering at a cool little park. We are staying at her family’s house and oh how beautiful it is! Her family lives on the most beautiful acres of farmland that I have ever seen. It is so quiet….and natural…and just reminds me of how amazing God’s handiwork is. I don’t get to see too much of it living in a city. We stay here for one more night and then on to Arkansas for a couple of days.

Well, we have officially left Cornerstone. At a hotel right now showering up so we can get back on the road and head to Kansas City. All in all, I think we all have enjoyed ourselves here. It was a first experience for everyone. Met some great and interesting people. Saw some amazing bands that I had never heard of before. Got some great video footage and cool pictures. Keep your eyes peeled for them on the site soon. Stay tuned folks.

So, I am sitting in a hotel room in Macomb, IL. Waking in about 7 hours to kick off the tour at the Cornerstone Festival. Well, not actually playing in 7 hours, but heading down there to get a primo camping spot. Just got back from Nashville. Played last night at a Just Cause event. You can check out that organization at justcausenashville.com. Had a really great time. There were 3 or 4 social justice organizations there sharing information about what they do and how one can help. One organization I became interested in is Project AK-47. They rescue children in Asia who are forced to fight in the wars of their country. Some are even as young as 4 years old. It is an atrocity! Check their website out. It…

I came across Psalms 22 today in, of all places, the grocery store. While waiting in line, I was flipping through a book about Bible prophecy. I know…..crazy, isn’t it? Anyway, it stuck with me, so I came home and flipped open my Bible and couldn’t even get past the first 5 verses. There are 31 in all. There is so much in the first 5 verses that I cannot move on yet.

I blogged about music a couple of weeks ago, and it has been on my mind ever since…the importance…the significance…how precious a gift. I cannot imagine this world without music.
