I want to take a moment to invite all of my single ladies to repeat this (with me): Yes it is Christmas Yes I am single Because I am saved, have a real friend to spend Christmas with Therefore: I won’t spend one more minute awaiting the phone call for a Christmas Eve date I won’t spend one more minute awaiting the phone call for dinner with his family I am not a last minute option, I am a priority I won’t charge my credit card on an expensive gift for one more chance to impress him He is no… Continue

Rev. Marshall Barth We need your prayers!

Praise the LORD!!! With this being the CHRISTmas season, things are tough all around. Many have had to focus on personal needs only with the current state of the economy. With the relocation and reformation of VCM beginning just months ago. This has become a very tight time within our budget. With the ministry's state of currently being funded only through my income, it has been extremely hard. Especially with all the new increases in 'branches' to it's operational umbrella. You see, for all of… Continue

Rev. Marshall Barth In all things...

Praise the LORD!!! For any of you that are familiar with me, you will know that I always offer up thanks and praises to GOD before anything else is done. You may wonder, especially with hearing of some of the recent events, how I can maintain such a stance. It goes back to when GOD first began to allow the HOLY SPIRIT to convict my heart of my need for a deep personal relationship with HIM. If you’ve read my book, “Out of the LIGHT”, you’ll know exactly the reason for this. If not, I’ll fill you… Continue

Rev. Marshall Barth In all things...

Praise the LORD!!! In all things, are we told to sing praises to the LORD! How often do we actually do this? Do we praise HIS name when there are troubles at our doorway? Do we praise HIM when sitting in traffic waiting to do some ‘Black Friday’ shopping? Or when someone dishonors us and our beliefs? Let us look at this deeply, for in it lies many of the problems within our walks and our churches this day! GOD has given us this directive for a reason and a very good one. It shows where our hear… Continue

Tracy Page Do you Ever Feel?........

Do You Ever Feel Like…… By Kathryn Taylor Do you ever feel like……. A tulip covered in snow….. A little child who didn’t know….. A race that has no end…. A love note, no one would send…. A snowflake lost in a storm….. A puppy trying to get warm….. A tree fighting in the wind….. Or a wrestler about to be pinned…. A victim for all eternity, Looking hopelessly to be set free- Then, just remember………… Jesus came to set you free…. To give you all of eternity…. To give an out when you get pinned…. To s… Continue

Anna Rose Epiphany

I started really thinking today about life and how much of it we waste on meaningless stuff. Seize the day has never meant so much to me before. I was sitting in Life Groups tonight and I realized how much of a hypocrite i have been. I want to live my life the was God intended me to. To live day to day for Christ and really mean every minute of it. I want to live unashamedly and say what I mean and feel. To be myself without hesitation or remorse. Im tired of fake. Fake people and fake attitudes… Continue

9th Hour How did God make you?

I recently wrote a song based on the text found in Psalm 139. The original author and lyricist, King David had more of a positive approach than I have in my version. As I read the text, I wondered why if God "fearfully and wonderfully made me", then why is it then I am such a messed up specimen and example of humanity? Here are the lyrics: You search my heart, But You don't have too look to deep To find the part That makes promises I can't keep You count the days Like I have never been gone Y… Continue

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift" 2 Corinthians 9:15 This message was published by me during the season of Christmas in various sites. It was widely read. I dedicate this article to my loving dad who passed away on 10th Feb. 2008. Joy to the World The spirit of Christmas is pervading our homes. Rachel Hauck Jesus Birthday Present

Thoughts from my hubby: Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus. I know He probably wasn’t born December 25th, and not everyone would agree with my definition of Christmas, but just go with me on this one. Essentially, it’s a great big, worldwide birthday party for Jesus. I’ve been to other birthday parties. Most of the time everyone gave presents to the guest of honor, and no one else got presents. At Christmas we seem to do it backwards. Now I’m not advocating that we don’t give… Continue

BeautyCochran Did You Ever Think About What It Would Be Like?

I always think about God being born into Jesus Christ. I wonder at the splendor of it, I wonder if as a baby He would touch a very sick person that came to visit, to see the King, and that person would be healed not just physically, but emotions as well. I think about Him as a child and I wonder if He saw a child being bullied, if He would intervene in some childlike way, just a look a maybe, or a word or two! I think about Him working with His earthly father Joseph as a carpenter! With all of H… Continue

Paul Gyomory The Blessings In The Storm:

The Blessings In The Storm: I did not know His love before, The way I know it now. I could not see my need for Him, My pride would not allow. I had it all, without a care, The "self-sufficient" lie. My path was smooth, my sea was still, Not a cloud was in my sky. I thought I knew His love for me, I thought I'd seen His grace, I thought I did not need to grow, I thought I'd found my place. But when the way grew rough and dark, The storm clouds quickly rolled; The waves began to rock my ship,… Continue
