Praise the LORD!!!
It is time that Christians, those that truly show CHRIST through their lives, begin to move and effect the world CHRIST! No longer should they be sitting back in their easy chairs and letting others do the works, but getting up and out of their comfort zones and broadcasting the love of GOD to their fellow man. Get up and get out, move for the LORD, let all of mankind hear the name of JESUS from the lips of ones that truly believe in that which HE has done for us. All HIS pre…

Cooler weather is a great time to curl up in a blanket, maybe with a cup of hot chocolate and a great book.
Leaving Carolina, What Matters Most, and Limelight are all great books to enjoy this fall. They are easy reads that you will completely enjoy. Read one or get all three, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Happy Reading!

“And now, O sons, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.”
-Proverbs 5:7
We have seen quite a bit of direct address in the Proverbs. This sort of surprised me when I first really read the book. We sort of think of the Proverbs as simply a collection of sayings, mostly by Solomon, almost like if you got a lot of fortunes out of fortune cookies and taped them all on a big piece of paper. When you needed advice for something, you just search the paper for the right subje…

My host invited me to try his massage chair. I was shy. Chuckling out loud I deflected the offer.
But, the same curiosity that killed the cat kept nagging at my mind. Each time I walked past his living room, that ch…

Well that time is here again. Seems like years go real fast. Well this year is going to be rough in a way. Work is getting slow down there where my mom and dad work. So of course dad gets laid off cause hes a temp. Mom isnt sure if she can get a full week now and we need our furnace worked on. But we think it needs the oil line replaced. I pray to God its our FINAL solution. If not a plentiful Christmas, A WARM HOUSE! Last year was rough. I was the only one who really got us our Xmas gifts. B…

As a family, one of our favorite things to do during Christmas is going
outside for a short walk. I will never forget that walk in our neighborhood
a few years back. We witnessed a teenager charging down the street
barefoot, in her pajamas…

“she [the forbidden woman] does not ponder the path of life; her ways wander, and she does not know it.”
-Proverbs 5:6
When I was not a Christian, my outlook on life really didn’t go much beyond the next weekend. I wasn’t what the world would call a bad person. Far from it. Most people considered me pretty good. But I wasn’t really thinking about how my choices would affect next week, or next year, or especially eternity.
Even the most careful planners miss that last one. They will conc…

“Her [the forbidden woman’s] feet go down to death; her steps follow the path to Sheol;”
-Proverbs 5:5
“It’s not a big deal.”
How many times have I heard that in regard to someone’s sin? How many times have I said it? Honestly, I am as guilty as anyone here. And I still do it! I treat someone badly, and I blow it off. Everyone does it. I engage in a little gossip at work. So what?
My issues may be different than someone else’s, but the reaction seems to be the same. I have some friends…
