The boys from Speaking Of Pictures know a thing or two about originality. While they agree nothing was wrong with their prior recordings (under the title The Culver), there still was something that could of been done differently. "The stuff we did before was geared and almost forced to have a type of indie sound", says drummer/vocalist RJ "Cash" Papaleo, "This time we just said let's make music that's completely natural. Kinda fall into a genre where we belong, not force ourselves where we don't". While their music has a hints of an indie sound, there's some pop rock influence and even some classic rock and roll. "RJ would write the lyrics and lay down a drumbeat and then I'd come in with the guitar parts", says guitarist/vocalist Alex Rogan. As far as lyrics are concerned: "Nothing real complex or anything, but definitely we wanted lyrics that were positive and tight. Sometimes, I feel artists are wasting their time and talent when they sing total garbage y'know? When they're all vulgar and stuff, makes me kinda upset. Cause art to me is supposed to have a positive influence on people. And they're just planting bad seeds", explains RJ Papaleo.
