A veteran is his own right; e.l.bennett is an artist/producer and businessman from the City of East St. Louis, Illinois. Better known as “Creepa” Juice in his B.C. (before Christ) days, he was a solo artist and half member of the duo - Black Rage along with the cousin, A.Jones. Together, they shared the stage with the likes of Too-Short, Eightball and MJG. He was also a co-founder of the record label CXPX Records and was the forerunner of the buzz that Black Rage generated on the streets and throughout the clubs between 2000-2002. During the final days of mastering the Black Rage debut album, he accepted Christ into his life, which began the birth and beginning of who you will now know as e.l.bennett a.k.a J.u.i.C.e.27, which is an acronym for J.oined U.ltimately I.n C.hrist E.ternally 2=To 7=Completion.
After being saved, discipled, and working in the ministry, he shuns religiosity and declares that his music is for the saved, the lost, and the unsaved, and that the world is his ministry. When asked about his music, he states, “It’s relational, it’s something that people will be able to relate to, it’s inspirational, it’s bold, and uncompromising, it’s Soul Reaching Music! It’s what the world’s been waiting for.” And then he goes on and on about God, and about reaching out to people and tearing down the barriers that keep people from receiving God’s greatness in their lives. Accountable to God first and foremost, he brings a project defined by its content and backed up by energetic lyricism, mind grabbing hooks, simple but memorable production, and songs with value and meaning. In conclusion, with his debut album, he brings you “THE LIGHT.”
