- Residing in Ontario, California, Tyler Bettge is a fresh face out of college, along with the Christian music scene. However, his newcomer status is not easily detected through his inspired melodies and thought provoking lyrics. Tyler attended Azusa Pacific University where he majored in commercial music, and developed a heart posture to bring hope to the barrenness of this world. But please don’t discount Bettge as being another artists trying to make it for the sake of making it. He comes on the scene with an album that is both devotional and congregational; full of powerful lyrics which compliment his deep and soothing tonal quality.
Bettge has a deep passion for the lost, and the need for hope in the midst of darkness. “The title of my CD and title track “Re-Light” came from the thought that too often people get burned out with the routine they’re in. I wrote this song as a prayer that the passion in people’s lives would be re-awakened”. Many of the song’s on Bettge’s album come from: Romans 13:11: “And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.” Tyler’s music is the strumming of the musings of his heart, and his desire to have faith and trust in a God who is good, all the time. His hope is that this melody will be a hope to all who are on this journey, and those who are on their way.
His first CD "Re-Light" is available for purchase on itunes and Tyler is currently working on his second project that's due out summer of 09.
