Hi Paul,

Beautiful Pictures! I am sorry it took so long to acknowlege your kind invitation--I have been without a computer for quite some time... I am just learning my way around this network. It is an honor to call you friend. Please do keep in touch as time may allow and I will do the same.

I love both beauty in nature and human. Loving most the inner beauty
that is rarely shown to others.

Many times I am quiet and reserve. Loving to think through things and
solving puzzles.

I love to walk through the woods in the mountains north of me. I hope
sometime to go back and spend some time in renewal in a Spirit Quest.

Here is a poem I wrote:

THE LURE

The lure of the mountains calls me--
Beauty abides in the deep woods,
Open meadows, and from bare tops.
Blue skies, and majestic valleys,
Cool summer nights full of stars,
Blazing pine log, sweet aroma.

Heed the lure of the mountains with me--
Quiet is an escape from cities of noise.
'tis not no sound but no noise.
Birds by day, crickets by night,
Rushing winds, flowing springs.
Open ears and eyes where beauty abides.

All in the Family

There are three Herods in the New Testament.

Herod the Great - "the Herod of jesus' birth"

Rome allowed him in 37 B.c. to call himself "king" of Palestine. Surrounded by intrigue and conspiracy, he maintained his power by the cold-blooded murder of anyone he considered a threat ... which included high priests, two of his sons, his mother-in-law, and his favorite wife Mariamne. He is also "the Herod of the massacre of the innocents." He reigned until his death in 4 B.C.

Herod Antipas - "the He… Continue

Dalai Lama Blames Financial Crisis on Spiritual Fall

an. 13 (Bloomberg) -- The Dalai Lama, Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader, blamed a lack of spirituality among people today for the global financial crisis.

The Buddhist monk, speaking during a weeklong religious seminar in the Indian holy city of Varanasi, told followers that “rampant corruption in the world” is due to a decline in culture and spirituality.

“People have become selfish and materialistic, which has led to the economic slowdown,” the 73-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner said in an a… Continue

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said. "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.

The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitt ing around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoon… Continue

John 3:16 ( The Story)

Written by TomTripp

In the city of Chicago, one cold, dark night, a blizzard was setting in. A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers.

He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awful cold in there… Continue
