I think that my concept of Easter is a much too ‘safe’ picture. As much as I proclaim “He is Risen” and celebrate the resurrection, I know that my heart is not where I want it to be. My mind is more occupied with the family dinner than with the jo...

There are so many distressing events in life that it is tempting to consider anyone who doesn’t worry, out of touch with reality. Reading the newspaper, a visit to the doctor or watching TV can start us on a downhill spiral of anxiety and fear. Th...

About Me
For the longest time, I wished that I could sing to express my deepest feelings of worship. One day, sitting in church, it came to me that God had already given me a way to express my deepest feelings. It is writing. So, thank you Lord. I am grateful for what you have given me. (I still wish I could sing. )

I am a hairdresser by trade and have been for a long long time. I am a writer by passion. I write weekly articles for the Hair site and the Christian Living site at BellaOnline.com. I'm also moderator of the forum for each site.

How would you describe your level of Christian faith?
My faith defines me
Share your testimony
I grew up in a wonderful home where I was taught right from wrong and good from bad, but like many others, I never had a clear idea of what being a Christian really meant. I went through life without much of a guidance system, had my wild times and my responsible times, sometimes winning and sometimes failing. I found that I was never really living the way I wanted to live and never feeling at peace with my life.

I met Jesus Christ as an adult and since that time, I cannot tell you that everything is perfect. I still sometimes succeed and sometimes fail but now I see it all with a new perspective and I have found a new peace and a contentment in my heart. I can tell you that I have discovered how exciting and rewarding life with Jesus is and that answers and explanations to life’s events can be found in God’s instruction book, the Bible.
What are your interests?

The most embarrassing thing I ever did was:
Too embarrassing to tell.
I believe...
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life and nothing comes to me that doesn't go through Him.

2012 - the End of the World?

Through the centuries, there have always been those who have predicted the end of the world. December 21, 2012 is a date many are looking forward to with apprehension. The cataclysmic upheaval of the earth is dramatized in the movie titled 2012. There are many theories - some of them scary.

As Christians, how should we handle this? Read my thoughts here;

A Callused Spirit

Christian brothers and sisters; are we trying too hard to be well liked? Are we making too much of an effort to fit in to the current culture? Our hearts tend be like the hands of a workman. What at first offends the Christian conscience, with daily exposure, may slowly become less and less offensive. The conscience becomes callused.

A story of healing

God is huge and unexplainable. When I think about my Creator, it is impossible for me to get my mind around Who He is. However, the Bible tells us that He is not unknowable. He is a personal and loving God, who wants us to know Him.

In the Old Testament, the Israelites used different names for God as they experienced His different characteristics. By separating and rejoicing over the different aspects, they found it easier to know Him personally.

Hell - A Scary Place

Some of us have been throwing the word ‘hell’ around very loosely – so much so that it has lost its meaning. Some people, even religious people, will tell you that hell is not real – that it is just something used to scare children into behaving. However, the Bible is clear that hell is a very real place. It tells us that hell is a place where Satan and his angels, (the angels that chose to follow him when he was cast out of heaven) and unrepentant sinners will spend eternity.

Jesus compared he… Continue
