About Me

I'm a jock - with a heart!! I coach adaptive PE, soccer, football, basketball, track... You get the idea. My main gig is pole vaulting though. I came to it through the back door. My coach needed someone to coachit. I did gymnastics and understood kinesiology so I went to a clinic to learn it. I was instantly hooked. 15 years later I am still going strong. Of my 5 kids, 4 can do it. the one that doesn't is a baseball guy. It's all good though, I used to work at a mino league ballpark during my summers. Oh yeah, my wife... threw javelin :) FCA rocks!!

Raised Catholic, I began reading the Bible asa teen because of what I was learning at YMCA camp. A friend took me to church. When the Gospel was explained to me,I thought of my believer friends. I understood salvation by grace because of what I knew I saw in others. It was different than the works based faith that I had learned. No drugs, no alchohol to break free from, just me learning to know God as He had intended, not on my terms. Isn't that what we all have to do anyway regardless of background? 2 Tim 4:12
