About Me: I've been married since 1990 and we homeschool our two girls 10 and 7. I've loved Christian music since the early 1980's to this day. Also a big sports fan of the Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Syracuse Orangeman and Rochester Knighthawks (of indoor lacrosse) My favorite thing is teaching Sunday School to 5 and 6 year olds with my wife. My favorite artists are Relient K, TobyMac, Switchfoot. My favorite TV shows are classics like Little House, Waltons, Odd Couple and Brady Bunch. Now I like American Idol, Amazing Race, Hannah Montana. My playlist below has a lot of songs from American Idol that you normally wouldn't hear, plus the awesome winner of last years band contest, The Clark Brothers.

The most embarrassing thing I ever did was:: got caught video taping at Jars of Clay concert. They took away my videotape in front of youth group! Now everyone does it..just see youtube.

One Life

I haven't blogged in a while but this was really on my heart.

The song "One Life To Love" by 33 miles has really hit home lately. It's all about making the most out of the life that we have been given.

Two weeks ago on my mail route one of my customers, a healthy 39 year old Mom, dropped dead while on the treadmill from a fluke blood clot or something. OK..the first week of the finals turned out to be pretty good. In fact, after the first 7 singers I thought it was possibly the best final group ever until it started fading a bit. Still, it's got the makings of a great year. Here is how I would rank the performers:

Finals set for Idol

Quick summary of tonight..I was really happy! I wanted Megan and Jasmine of the girls. I wanted Matt or Ricky of the boys, but figuring that only one guy would make it and it would be Anoop, I didn't have my hopes up. But then they picked Matt! Shortly after that they said you are in also Anoop, there is going to be 13 in the finals this year! So I'm happy!!
