Once upon a time, I had a super-long monster of a bio that I'm sure no one read. The day quickly came that I, with my legendary sword, "Delete Button", conquered the monster. The End.
My name is Evie Haskell. The truth is, I love music. I love everything about it. I love to write it, play it, sing it, connect with God and others through it, vent with it, etc. About 2 years ago, I began my journey as a public singer/songwriter. I have received awards and titles that are humbling in every sense of the word, and you can check out those on EvieHaskell.com, if you'd like. All of them have been wonderfully exciting and honoring for me to receive, but they are not the reason I "do music".
Here is my reason:
My life's mission is to live and show others a life lived abundantly. There is so much more to life than we think! There is more joy, more peace, more love to be lived and given. There is a God, who through His son, Jesus, has offered us a chance to begin a fresh life--another chance--and something so incredibly beautiful that no number of songs I write will ever be capable of describing. I will never be finished singing about it.

Barefoot
Friday night at youth group, Josh described the story in which Jesus washes his disciples' feet. I watched as a small group of students were offered a chance to have their feet washed by the adult leaders of the group. Uncomfortable, embarrassed, and nervous, they eagerly refused to take part in the activity. Granted, they are high-schoolers, and ones that have known these adults for merely a couple months. They had every reason to be uncomfortable, and I'll admit, I was uncomfortable, too.
