I recorded the song "Divine" (see videos) on a stunningly beautiful November day here in Northern Michigan. At the beginning, I comment that the more difficult days of winter will come too soon and how that is like life. Only two weeks later, my sister lost her battle with cancer. My father-in-law was diagnosed with bone cancer and had but a few short months. And my 9 year old niece is terminally ill.

This song is a tribute to them... to life... to trusting in God through the difficult seasons of life. While we may not understand the purpose of suffering, we can trust that there is a purpose beyond our comprehension.

My father-in law is now in the final stages of cancer. This has been a difficult season, but we are thankful to be in a position to help our loved ones and there have been many instances of God’s grace through this time of suffering. My husband and I appreciate all your support and words of encouragement at this time... and I look forward to sharing the art that has come out of the experiences.
