How did you hear of Switchfoot?

Hey guys! Thanks to all who have joined so far. I love you all. :) Anyways I just wanted to hear some stories from you guys how you first heard of switchfoot. This is my story. When I was about 12ish I was getting very intrested in music. I listen to rock and pop music. I never had heard of alternative or christian rock before. One of my friends let me listen to The Beautiful Letdown cd and I was hocked. Switchfoot's songs had so much meaning behind them and it really made me focus more on my faith. Their songs are honest and raise alot of questions. Thats why I love them so much and why I am honored to call them my favorite band. Their music has brought me through some of the most toughest times of my life. Thats why Switchfoot means so much to me. So if you guys can tell me your stories, or why you like them, post it. I saw the music video for You Already Take Me There on this Christian Music Video show. I can't remember if it was The Zone or Most Requested but I saw it then that is when I realized I loved music from Switchfoot. Ever since that time I have loved music from Switchfoot and just want to get any music related to Switchfoot including Jon Foreman EP's and songs from his new album. I am also wanting to get the new music he did with the band called Fiction Family as I love When She's Near.

I was about 11 or 12 and my Dad bought a Switchfoot CD. They were one of the first rock bands I really got into (along with Audio Adrenaline). Although the funny thing is, I didn't like them at first. But after hearing it a few times it really grew on me. Meant to Live was one of the first songs I taught myself to play on guitar when I was 13. :D
