In 2005, bassist Kyle Zeigler and drummer Kyle Mitchell left Kutless to form their own record label in Portland, Oregon. They were succeeded by bassist Dave Luetkenhoelter (spell that 3 times fast) and drummer Jeffrey Gilbert.

What band did Dave and Jeffrey play in before coming to Kutless?

Dave and Jeffrey were both part of the band "Seven Places" prior to being part of Kutless. Does anyone know who was the lead singer of "Seven Places" and what happened to that band that allowed Dave and Jeff to become part of Kutless?

Wow it seems 2ntech already got the answer to that question. I have no clue who the lead singer of Seven Places is and I don't know anything about the guys who left the band.

Seth Gilbert handled lead vocals on both Seven Places albums - Lonely For the Last Time and Hear Us Say Jesus. Not sure of the story behind the break up but it seems they were just about ready to break thrrough when they broke up instead.

Another interesting note, Dave Luekenhoelter was not the original Seven Places bassist. Who played bass on the first album?

I have no idea who played the bass on the first album. I wasn't a big fan of Seven Places as I just liked their music.

Donnie Vizzini was bassist from 1999 - 2004 with Seven Places on their first album.

Yes...Seth Gilbert is Jeffery's older brother and was the lead singer for Seven Places. Seth felt called to step down from the band to return to pastor the church where he and Jeff grew up.

New questions...Which notable musician/producer worked with both Seven Places and Kutless (as well as Jeremy Camp, Anberlin, Demon Hunter and Emery) to help produce their records....and secondly...What is the name of this musician/producers own newest band venture, in which he is guitarist and lead vocalist?

I have seen his name before just can't remember what his name was again.

I hadn't checked this Group in awhile but just saw you threw out another Trivia Question. The answer for this famous musician/producer (for Tooth & Nail Records) would be Aaron Sprinkle. Aaron also played in another moderately famous band back in the early 1990's - can you name it?

Ok...in 1990 - 2002 Aaron was in a band called Poor Old Lu. After that he was with Rose Blossom Punch. I don't have music from either of these ventures or his solo work...but do have an album from his most recent band...due to release another album soon...I hear. Do you know the name of this most recent band that began in 2005? This newest band is made up of 3 other members of Poor Old Lu.

The new band is Fair, but I don't have their 2006 release or anything from Rose Blossom Punch or his solo projects. I do have some of the early Poor Old Lu stuff though.
