The first time I saw Kirk in concert was with the Family when they first came out at Six Flags Magic Mountain (CA). I got to meet him briefly when he was walking around. As he became more popular and the ventures got bigger, I went to all of them sans the tour with he, Yolanda Adams, and Donnie McClurkin.
The Tour of Life was off da hook with Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, and the Canton Spirituals. It was hosted by Christian comedianne Sister Cantaloupe and featured K& K Mime. When K&K did "Now Behold the Lamb" with them, I was in tears and total worship!!! It was AWESOME!!
I also took my youth group to see him in a traveling play, He Say, She Say, But What Does God Say. It featured alot of the songs from Whatcha Lookin' 4 and was the backdrop for the videos for that project. I actually interviewed him for the first time prior to the first show at Planet Hollywood.
My wife (then just "friend") saw him and Trin-I-Tee 5:7 before the launch of the Nu Nationtour. I didn't get the interview with him, but I did with Trin-I-Tee. That was really fun. We later saw the tour which included Crystal Lewis. It was incredible.
I didn't see him on the aforementioned tour with Adams and McClurkin, but I did attend a prelaunch of The Rebirth where I interviewed him for the second time and saw him guest star with Gospel "bad boy" Tonex for the recording of Out the Box. That was one of the best concerts EVER!!
