I can go at my own pace instead of being held back or pushed forward by the rest of the class. For instance I'm really good at history and music and I can move ahead with them, but I'm terrible at math. Since I homeschool I can take my time and make sure I understand it.

Most? That's easy. All the time and relationship building that happens during the day between my wife and children. My kids are all best friends and really look out for one another.

Least? That's easy too - ALGEBRA!

The thing i liked most when i was homeschooled was being able to go at my own pace and being able to have my sisters there so we could help each other out. I really don't have any dislikes about homeschooling. Now that im in college i see the importance of a good Christian-based schooling. I applaud anyone who chooses to homeschool their children.

Hmm, I could make something up, but it would most likely be highly pathetic, therefore I will quote William Wallace:

"FFFFRRRREEEEEEEEEEDDDOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!"

That is certainly a great part of homeschooling.

For us the best thing about home school is EVERYTHING!! Seriously, we can go at our own pace, structure lessons to our likes/dislikes, make our own schedule, etc. I say our because I am learning just as much as my daughter.

I like the own pace thing. I can go over any math that my son needs extra help with and then I know he's got it.! The flexibility of subjects! The world is open and it dosen't have to take 8 hours!

I've been homeschooled all my life, and I really like it. One thing I am glad for is, we learn about creation in science, and my government class talks about how our country was founded on Biblical principles and all that.

Proverbs 22:6:
Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Plus, there's the fact that I can work at my own pace.

It's really great what everyone says about homeschooling. I myself aren't homeschooled. I live in the UK and I don't know anyone here that is homeschooled. My friends once were but they came back to school after a couple of years of homeschooling. I do have a lot of American friends who are homeschooled. In some ways I would like to be homeschooled as everything is at your own pace and you can spend alot more time with your family. I enjoy school though and I like having time with my friends and learning with teachers that specialise in my subjects. I go to a Catholic school and I think that if there weren't any Catholic Schools in this country, I would strongly consider homeschooling. My school isn't private so I don't pay for my education. The Government and the Catholic Church does. Is the only way to get a Christian education by being homeschooled or paying for education? Do you have Government funded schools that are Christian?

Fran, there are no government funded Christian schools here. They keep trying to get Jesus out of the schools!

The best part is being able to be a kid! When I was in school I had no time to have fun. I went to school, had volleyball practice or games, come home, eat, do homework, go to bed. Now I am free!! I love music. I play guitar and now I have time to practice because of homeschooling. I also babysit during the mornings. It's nice to be able to work. A lot of people need babysitting during the day and because I homeschool, I have an opportunity to do it!

Tabby, that's great you can babysit. We had a great homeschool girl to babysit the past 6 years..it's great to have someone available during the day. She now works so we are looking for another homeschooler close by!
