The temperature is dropping and chimneys are smoking. Lights trace the landscape and dangle from the rooftops. The department stores are packed and those isles that popped up just before Halloween are beginning to thin. All sure signs that Christmas is just around the corner. I've already been to the mall a time or two this season and I've logged a few miles at Wally World and Best Buy. And it dawned on me that, if one must insist upon initiating the playing of Christmas music prior to Halloween, it ought to at least be good Christmas music.
