A fake book is a music book that gives you the chords and the melody line and that's it. It is a nice way to pick out the melody of the song without having to read a bunch of notes.

The idea behind them was to give the musicians the melody line and then the musician could figure out their own arrangements of the songs.

I hope this explains a fake book!

Amy Grant has a special K-Love special on the countdown magazine at 6 P.M. eastern..which features her top 20 christmas songs and interviews with her. I heard it saturday and it was great.
