Top 3 face off

We are coming down to the homestretch as the final 3 sing two songs each tonight. It has already been leaked that Randy chose One republic's "Apoligize for Kris. Paula chose Terence Trent Darby's Apologize for Danny. Simon took either U2's "One" or Chris Isaac's "Wicked Game" for Adam.
Plus they get to pick a song of their own.

Right now I am having computer problems with this thing bouncing around my monitor, its giving me a headache. Pray we can figure it out before my takes on tonights show.

This is my rankings for tonight's songs..

1. Kris..Heartless..the freshest, most original and heartfelt song of the night.
2. Danny...Dance Little Sister...Play that Funky music white boy!
3. Danny..You are So Beautiful..I thought he messed with the melody a little too much at first but came on strong.
4. Kris..Apoligize..a few rough notes in there..wish he could have scrapped the band on that one too.
5. Adam..Cryin..I was cryin all the way through.
6. Adam..One...like he did with Ring Of Fire..he ruined a great melody. I now need to get out the U2 original and play it 10 times to stop me from hating this classic.

What's up with Adam going last again..and the judges reminding us to vote for him..America..make the judges cry tomorrow with a huge upset.

OK..after 45 minutes dialidol is still pretty close for the three guys. If it's close for Kris he gets the most text votes which means Danny might be in the most trouble.

For the contest I am going to pick now in case my computer won't let me tomorrow. I will say Adam goes and Danny second. Pretty bold huh?

OK, it's clear the judges were begging us to vote for Adam tonight, but it just means that the other two are very strong vote-getters and their fans will be out in force tonight. Rhonda is voting like mad again, for Danny mostly, but also for Kris. I voted for them too but I really don't care that much who stays and who goes at this point. They will all three have every opportunity to make a career for themselves after this. Perhaps if Kris and Danny do not win they will have more say over the material in their first CD. I would hate for them to come out with some boring, worldly album that the label makes them do. Let Adam have that chance, I wasn't likely to buy his stuff anyway.

As for tonight, I liked Adam best of the first three songs. Danny was forgettable with Dance Little Sister, Kris was really good with Apologize, and Adam was very good with one of my favorite songs of all time. I liked his version a lot, it showed off what he can do. Of course it doesn't come close to the Bono/Mary J Blige version. Check it out here:

Adam sounds very shallow next to that. Anyone would.

As for the second three songs Kris and Danny blew Adam away. It's now officially anyone's ballgame. Kris needed the most to do well tonight and I think he did. I'll stick with the prediction I made back in January. Danny and Kris in the finale! Say it with me people! You Gotta Believe!

I thought that Kris smiling while singing a song called "Heartless" was very strange. You've got to match your attitude to the music, it's a show. Danny does that fairly well, and of course Adam does.
Kris is just another coffee shop type singer to me, I don't understand how he got this far.
Danny is good, but his album would probably be boring. Adam's the only one of them who could sing a decent 70s style rock song, and the only one to really make songs his own. That's why he had 60 of my votes. I gave 18 to Danny. 0 to Kris.

Is it just me or does Kris remind you of David Archuletta (was that his name?) from last season and Danny reminds me a lot of David Cook. It's weird.

Those of us who love Kris are rooting for him to do wonderful, original Christian contemporary music. I think we definitely picture him on a stool in an intimate setting playing guitar and singing a mix of singer/songwriter ballads, but bringing his own style to it. Maybe Beck you just don't like that kind of music, so it all sounds the same to you.

Danny has a voice that really makes you feel it. His song selection has not been the greatest over the past month or so. He did one last night that almost worked his old magic, You Are So Beautiful. H=I don't love his uptempo stuff nearly as much. He should not of tried so hard to please the judges and so his range. Power ballads with a blues-y tinge are his bread and butter. I can't wait to see what he does with an album of original music written just for him.

I think Danny or Kris could sing a 70's rock song, they just should have picked something by CSNY or early Elton John or Tom Petty. Neither of them is heavy metal, and that's OK with me.

Adam definitely rocks. I like him too.

Well if it was my choice it would be a Kris/Danny finale. But sadly it wont be my choice lol... So my guess is that Kris and Danny are in the bottom 2 with Kris leaving :(

i am happy to say i think adam will be going home. his song of crying was a bad performance.

also, the dj said he called in 20 times for kris.
i was wanting to ask , how much does it cost to vote? our phone is dead, but we were wanting to know.

I was a little disappointed last night, especially with the judges' selections and behavior. The cameras were on the judges more than the contestants! And while I still think Simon provides the best feedback of all the judges, I also think it was inappropriate for him to endorse a single contestant by telling America to vote for Adam. I believe Adam could find a way to scream his way through The Sound of Music and stick his tongue out at least twice during the performance :-(

I rate/rank the songs/performances the same as Jimbo. But I think Kris and Adam will be the bottom 2 and I agree - Adam finally goes home (should have left last week).

One additional comment on song selections - I wish Kris would have selected "In the Light" by Charlie Peacock (covered by DC Talk) and Danny would have picked a Todd Agnew hit like "Grace Like Rain" or maybe even a Third Day song like "Tunnel". The general public wouldn't have known the songs but they are songs that match their voices/styles to a T and, I believe, would have gone over huge. Additionally, they are songs that they could really put their hearts into and feel - which is what I think was missing in both their performances last night.

I am wanting Kris and Danny to be in the final two. I want Adam to be voted off since I haven't liked any of his performances but I know he can sing just I am more looking forward to seeing Danny and Kris in the final two. I also found out that Rachael Lampa is going background vocals for Jordin Sparks on American Idol tonight so check it out.
