what are your top 2008 CD's?

Time for my annual list of my favorite CD's. I had to cut way back on buying CD's this year, so I only have about 20 to choose from. A lot of great albums I listened to online for free the first week out that would have been on this list but I have yet to buy them..they include the projects from Downhere..Linclon Brewster. Jeremy camp...Chris Tomlin...and delirious. Some I have gotten but won't open until Christmas..like Submerged and David Cook.

(LATER NOTE..I DID JUST GET LINCOLN, JEREMY AND TOMLIN..BUT CAN'T OPEN THEM UNTIL CHRISTMAS AS WELL!)

That having been said..here are my top CD's:

1) Third Day..Revelation. The boys return with possibly the best CD of their career..easily the best of 2008 for me. Mac never has sounded better..a great mix of rockers and radio ready singles.

2) Toby Mac..Alive and transported. It was my kids fave CD of the year and we wore it out with the windows down all summer long. Best DVD of 2008 too.

3) Relient K..The Bird and the Bee sides. This may have been a collection of outakes and junk..but their second best stuff is still great. 26 songs with a wide variety..including about 5 country songs to mix it up. Might be too eclectic to satisfy a lot of people though.

4) Fee..We Shine. This was a 2007 release but got it in the summer. Great rockin praise and worship from start to finish. Thanks to Craig for the heads up on this group way back.

5) Michael W. Smith. A new Hallulujah. He returns to his live praise and worship in a truly inspirational CD.

now it gets tough..the next batch of albums were all 4 star CD's for me..it's hard to put one ahead of another. It all depends on the mood I was in on how much I might enjoy one over another.

Chris Sligh..Running Back to You.
Phil Stacey..Phil Stacey..the two American idols have solid debuts.
Natalie Grant..Relentless..not only a great voice..she rocks too!
Leeland..Opposite Way..the first CD was so great this one suffered a little to me in comparision.
The Afters..never going back to OK...same reason as Leeland.
Jimmy Needham..Not Without Love. For some reason when i got this I thought it was Phil Wickham..but I loved it anyway!
Phil Wickham..Sing along..this free download is a great sing along!
Hawk Nelson is MY Friend...the CD kind of peters out after 7 songs but the first 7 are great.

so I am sure there was a ton of better music out there but that was all I got this year. Tell me your top CD's of the year!

1.Future Tense-ApologetiX(some of the best works that I've heard from them)
2.Comatose Comes Alive-Skillet(Skillet has always put together an awesome live show,its about time they released a live album)
3.Alive And Transported-TobyMac(same as above)
4.Rock What You Got-SuperchicK(SuperchicK was nominated for a grammy because of this album,Its definatly their best stuff to date.)
5. Dance Or Die-Family Force Five(It took a few years but they released their sophmore album and it was definatly worth the wait!)
6.There Came A Lion-Ivoryline(One of my favorite new releases from a debuting band,they to me have a unique sound)
7.Hello-After Edmund(These guys kicked alot of butt on their debut, Its definatly been featured a whole lot on my playlist over the past few months)
8.Dizmas-Self Titled(This is one of my favorite bands and I'm definatly enjoying their newest album)
9.The Blood-Kevin Max(Probably one of the most unique releases of the year! Kevin does a great job on these classic hymns, Its definatly worth checking out)
10.For my last one I have to pick the Remedy club tour-David Crowder Band.(They've been a staple at conferences and tours for quite a few years and they're shows are always fun,enegetic,and always have the worship setting to them which have caused a loyal following)
