Hey guys ladies and gentleman...Why So Serious! Many critics in the christian circle wrote this flick off as a violent disturbing movie, personally I thought it was excellent, what do you think!

I can see both sides. When they first began talking about this movie, I was afraid it would turn into one of those floundering Batman sequels. After a great original movie featuring Jack Nicholson, each follow-on movie got worse than the one before. I was surprisingly pleased when Batman Begins came out but feared a sequel would follow the pattern mentioned above.
Is it dark? Yes. Is it disturbing? Yes. But if you read the early comic books, you know this is who Batman is. And I think the Joker character brings a little more reality to the game than, let's say, the previous Penguin character.
Would I let a 5 yo watch it? No! Would I take my 18 yo son to see it at midnight on opening day? You bet I did!
It's certainly not for all ages, but who says things have to be? I get frustrated sometimes that Christians seem to get things backward. They want everything from this world to be family friendly, and then refuse to read certain parts of the Bible to their kids (Song of Solomon, etc). How strange that we think God's Word should kept from our kids, but that Hollywood should be for all ages.
