Hello, as the title suggests, this is about saving private ryan. Truly this is an astounding movie with the power to wear you down emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The movie leaves you paralized in your seat, makes you feel like you were there, that you had lost a friend on that bridge at the end. Here is a place to discuss things relative to the movie, things like: how does this impact your view on war? how do you feel about the men who fight them? does the movie sensetize you to violence or desensetize you? Was the christian right to be there? did he conduct himself in a godly way? I for one was greatly affected by the movie, and it has given me a desire to serve the country.

While I was in the Marine Corp and would do it again, I would think differently about it today. While being in the military is very rewarding, you can server the country, your country, in other forms and other manners.
