In need of your prayers please!!!

My son, his name is Jake, is 17 years old. He has fallen in with a bad crowd and no matter what I try, he will not stay away from them. He has started smoking pot and drinking, to the point he got caught with drugs and paraphernalia at school. He was kicked out for the remainder of his Jr year and thrown in jail. He has been arrested on different charges 4 different times now. He was at a friends house tonight and I asked him to come home. He refused and cussed me horribly, even threatening to burn my house down. I had his cell phone turned off hoping that would urge him to come home. Unfortunately, it didn't make a difference. I am VERY worried about him, he became a Christian at the age of 8, I've had him in church his entire life. I just don't know what I did wrong. Anyway, I am asking that everyone pray for my son and for our relationship. I love him more than anything and just want him to be ok and get back on track and back in church. Thanks in advance for your prayers!

i will keep you both in my prayers. God loves us and he wants us all to do good. maybe it is just the rebelous teen in him. i know that i had my phase of it. i will keep you both in my prayers.

I have prayed for you. Age 8 was the same time that I came to know Christ as my personal Savior. Most likely YOU did NOT do anything wrong. Jesus was the best discipler that the world has ever seen, yet there was one failure in the 12. That alone keeps us all praying and trusting God for His grace in rearing our children. My second son rebelled but has come back to the Lord and is a Godly man today. I thank God that we can ALWAYS hope in Him.

I hope I'm doing this right, lol, I've never replied to one of these before, it's all new to me. I want to thank you for your prayers. I also want everyone to know just what the power of prayer can do. My son called asking me to pick him up. He also asked me to take him to church. He doesn't like the church we are members of though, and wants me to take him somewhere else. Whatever it takes! Praise GOD he's home and he's safe and he realizes he needs to be back in church. We still can use all the prayers, he has a long way to go. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the prayers and the note. My son called wanting to come back home today, we have made a verbal agreement, I'm praying he sticks to it. He said he wants to get back into church, just not the one we are members of. Fine with me, whatever it takes to help get him back into a close relationship with Christ. Thanks again!

hi, it is great to hear that he called and wanted you to pick him and take him to church. i felt closer to the Lord after i switched out of the church my dad goes to. it really makes a difference to go somewhere that really welcomes all of us and makes us all feel at home. i am so thankful for what he has told you and i hope the blessings keep comming. i will keep praying. :)
