Hey y'all. First of all, how are you doing?
Second of all, I want to know what you all think of Christian hardcore/metal. Or what are you favourite Christian hardcore/metal bands? I personally like August Burns Red the best.
That's all I wanted to say, really. Wanted to know what y'all think. Thanks.

Check out Demon Hunter, Underoath, and Haste The Day. They are all Christian Hardcore/Metal bands with real good music. I am sure you will enjoy them once you listen to all of them. I hope that helps.

lol, I wasn't asking for bands that were Christian, exactly. I'm totally into Christian metal. I've heard of all those guys (although I'm not too fond of Haste the Day). I listen to a lot of August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, Destroy The Runner, and As I Lay Dying. I just wanted to hear who you guys like and what you think about metal? Whether it really CAN be Christian, or if you think it's the best way to praise God, etc.

Oh ok I get it now. Those bands I listed are bands I like to listen to for Christian Hardcore/Metal even though I don't listen to them a lot just some times. I also think that God loves all genres of music in Christian Music including Christian Hardcore/Metal as even though it can be loud music with lots of screaming I am sure God still can understand what they are saying with the screaming they have in the music. The screaming in the hardcore music could be praises and worship to God or just giving a positive message to the Christians who listen to it. I know it may hard to see Christian Hardcore/Metal music as giving praise to God but it's all art in music as there is many different genres in music and they all can give praise to God in different ways. Christian Hardcore/Metal music just gives praise to God through loud rockin music with screaming in it and there isn't anything wrong with that in my opinion. Anyways those are my thoughts. I hope that is more what you were getting at.

Just because it's loud and old people don't like it doesn't mean it's not Christian. LOL, I thought we learned that, what, 20 years ago?

Anyway, I like it too. I listen to a lot of it.

Yes is can be used of God. The Bible says to be all things to all people. It won't minnister to someone who doesn't like that style of music. People are supposed to use there talents to reach people, & that includes different styles of music. I can get into this more later if you like. I like all kinds of music, except for country. I even like rap.
I like ABR pretty good. I can't believe you don't like Haste The Day...I think they're amazing. I haven't heard their new album yet. I know I really like the old stuff, but I thought Pressure The Hinges was pretty good too. I like Demon Hunter, Living Sacrifice, Soul Embraced, Eternal Decision (2 of the 3 albums, if you like old Metallica...early thrash days). Some of the old bands are good, but they weren't as popular, bc that kind of music wasn't as accepted back then, & these days...heavy music seems to be so popular. I like X-Sinner's old stuff (if you like AC/DC), but am not too familiar w/ the new stuff. I think Inhale/Exhale is pretty cool, Impending Doom (if you're into death metal, some of there stuff...especially the new stuff!) I always was into Bride, but wasn't sure if I'd like the newer stuff, but I thought it was actually really good, & sounded more modern. Zao has some pretty cool stuff, but not as familiar w/ the newer stuff, & now they have all new members. The Showdown is great too...although they seem to change their style on every album, probably a little more than most bands. I also like Disciple...their new album was pretty good, but not as heavy, & not my favorite. Most of their albums are great though.
