I usually read CCM Magazine or the Bible. That is mostly what I read. I do read a children's Bible some times or a devotion book. That is all I do read and I have more books to read just haven't got to read them yet.

I used to read CCM Magazine but now I've switched to HM Magazine (one for hard Christian bands). I also pick up a Guitar Player Magazine or a Star Wars Insider every now and then. In addition to whatever I have to read for school I read lots of Star Wars novels which are sort the further adventures since no more movies are coming out any time soon.

I am currently reading "Life Stories" by Mark Hall from Casting Crowns and re-reading Shepherding A Child's Heart by Dr. Tedd Tripp.

The first book give's Mark's personal experiences that led to the writing of CC songs. A lot of background insight as to where he was in his personal life and what he was thinking about that led to writing the song. One of the neat things is for each song he gives what he calls the "Godlines", the part of the song that he totally contributes to being given to him by the Holy Spirit.

The second book I read for the first time several years ago. My wife and I lead a parenting class at our church using this as the textbook so I'm reading through it again as we teach. If you haven't read it, I guarantee it will change the way you view parenting. And if you implement it, I guarantee it will change your life as well as your child(ren)s. I can't say enough good things about this book and the biblical concepts and practical application it contains. Of all the parenting books I've read over the years, including notable Christian authors such as Ross Campbell and James Dobson, this is by far the best.

Guess I should jump in on my own discussion here!! I am in the middle of reading The Daughters of Lancaster County Trilogy by Beverly Lewis. I love her books and others about the Amish. I am also doing a bible study of the book of Genesis.

Yeah Taeko, I know how that goes. I just finished Lord of the Flies earlier this year, read Lost Horizon and now I'm reading The Once and Future King (about King Arthur). School, school, school. *sigh*

Taeko, If you liked This Present Darkness, you must read the sequal - Piercing the Darkness! Frank Peretti is an awesome writer. He has some other books out including Monster, the Oath, and House (co-written with Ted Dekker). And if you like Peretti, you'll love Tedd Dekker. He's written a ton of books but I'd recommend starting with the color trilogy (Black, Red, White).

I'm currently reading Free Lunch by Robert Cay Johnson. He's a former columnist for the Washington Post. The book concerns how as a nation we headed towards our current financial crisis. Intriguing since the book was written well before this stuff started happening.
I also get my daily reading in His Word and I enjoy Christian fiction.
